The Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to furthering Alex Haley’s messages embodied in the book Roots. Contributions made to the Foundation are tax-deductible, and as a Friend of the Foundation, you can participate through direct support or sponsorship. We also encourage your further involvement through Foundation-sponsored programs and events.
Your contribution, combined with the support of others from around the world, directly assists the Foundation in furthering: the public’s awareness of the importance of family and genealogy as a basis for generating pride in one’s culture and heritage. Providing educational and cultural programs that stimulate the awareness, both nationally and internationally, of the messages within Roots to foster the efforts to promote a climate of reconciliation and healing from American slavery and other human tragedies. And lastly, to preserve and promote greater awareness and understanding of African-American history and culture.
Contributions of any size are accepted and can be made in the form of checks, money orders, or electronically via PayPal. Check and money order payments should be made payable to Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation Inc.
