We Remember Fondly our Founder and Friend, Leonard A. Blackshear (1943-2006)
(Annapolis, Maryland) The Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation announces with sadness the passing of our President, Leonard A. Blackshear, on March 24, 2006. Leonard died at home surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday morning, March 29th at 10:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church at 87 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland. A Christian wake is scheduled prior to the service beginning at 8:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Leonard A. Blackshear has requested that contributions be made to the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation in his memory.
